Original Fried Chicken
Ingredients
- 6 chicken drumsticks
- ½ C gluten free flour
- We use buckwheat flour or brown rice flour
- 3 - 4 Tbsp of spices of your choice
- We like using combos such as smoked paprika, turmeric and a little ground chilli
- Salt and pepper
- Extra virgin, cold pressed oil
Directions
- Heat oven to 200ºC on fan bake. Grease or line an oven tray.
- Mix flour, spices and salt and pepper in a bowl or on a plate.
- Roll the drumsticks in the mix until they’re really well coated
- and place them in the oven tray with a wee gap in between each.
- Drizzle a few big glugs of oil to the drummies—you do need a decent amount of oil all over them to make sure they’re nice and crispy. Make sure you get both sides.
- Pop them in the oven for about 30 - 40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and nice and crispy.
