This recipe is geared towards people who function best with higher levels of quality carbohydrates in their diet. These people tend to have lighter appetites and can skip a meal without worry. 'Carb types' can eat a piece of fruit on its own and feel satisfied for a few hours.

Berry Smoothie

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 1 cup frozen berries
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup of leafy greens
  • 1 cup coconut water or water
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk or yoghurt
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1/4 cup mint leaves

Directions

  1. Blend together berries, banana, leafy greens, mint, coconut water, coconut milk, honey and chia seeds in your choice of blender until smooth.
