NATURAL HEALTH LAWS ARE CHANGING.
The Therapeutic Products Bill (TPB) has now been passed into law andt will change the way natural health products are regulated in New Zealand.
This will impact the availability and affordability of a wide range of natural health products - including your favourite supplements.
Let's urge the New Zealand Government to consider the impact of this Bill and make much-needed changes to the new natural health laws before they come into effect in October 2026.
WHAT ARE OUR CONCERNS ABOUT THE THERAPEUTIC PRODUCTS BILL?
Based on the current drafting of the bill, it will significantly reduce access to natural health products and increase costs by requiring the individual assessment and approval of all widely available products and ingredients, including those that have been used safely here for decades.
Of the 16,500 Kiwis who voiced their views to the select committee, 97% of the submissions on the Bill were opposed to it. We share your concerns, so we're calling on the Government to make changes.
